In the Community

As a company, MRI of Person County is committed to giving back by supporting the following charities and organizations in our communities.

Giving back to the community is a big part of who we are as a company. We are individually committed to charities of our choice, but collectively we work as a team to give back to different organizations in need. During the Christmas holiday we serve at a local soup kitchen and sponsor a luncheon for the able-bodied community.

As founding member and current President of the MRI Network Charitable Foundation, Sherri Buckner Seagroves works throughout the year to lead the MRI Network through fundraising events to benefit the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Fundraising events are held around the world and involve MRI Network members, family and friends. Over $500,000 has been donated to St. Jude's through the Charitable Foundation. Sherri is active in the Mebane community, serving on several committees for the Mebane United Methodist Church. She also enjoys volunteering with the Mebane Woman's Club and teaching boot camp for MebFit!

Since 2000, Don Buckner has served Rotary International and Rotary Foundation in numerous capacities including District Governor. His most recent work has focused on disaster relief in Haiti. Rotarians are in the process of building a hospital in Haiti to be completed in August, 2011. Upon completion, Rotarians will start fitting Haitians with prosthetics and offering physical therapy to the children recipients.
