Job Description: A leading PLASTIC injection molding development center in Charlotte, North Carolina is searching for a CAD Analysis Engineer. Position will work with international teammates in Europe to develop/adapt mold concepts. Position is in charge of designing, adapting mold for 3iTech integrations to provide performance from concept to final 3D CAD machining.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Analyze customer mold and part CAD Data
• Adapt existing mold CAD concepts for parts
• Develop new concepts and applications
• Provide CAD drawings to toolmakers for mold builds
• Perform thermal simulation through CAD software
• Assisting Business Developers in explaining the technical choices in mold design to customers and toolmakers
• Work with simulation engineers for design optimization
• Global knowledge of plastic part design and processing
• Mastering CAD dedicated software (Solidworks)
• Able to develop mold designs for new types of parts
• Will be working with 3D Design

 

Requirements include but are not limited to:
• 2 years technical training in plastics field
• 5 years working with 3D Design experience with injection molding
• 5 years working with CAD Solidworks design and development of parts
• Work directly with international environment and customers would be advantage
• Good communication written and oral, must be able to communicate with international headquarters and clients
• Travel is required
• Must be able at the start of this job work 4 months training at headquarters in France required
• Must be able to use MS Office Tools
• Able to perform thermal simulation and prior knowledge of COMSOL software would be a plus


Education: Technical training in plastics preferred
