Job Description: A leading PLASTIC injection molding facility in the Lexington, NC, area is searching for a Human Resources Manager.


  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Responsible for recruitment of new approved positions
  • Assist managers and supervisors with the interviewing and selection of both exempt and non-exempt employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Assist with implementation of proactive recruitment programs for permanent and temporary staffing.
  • Ensure consistency of selection tools and employment processes.
  • Provide feedback to General Manager regarding program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with shift supervisors and staffing agencies for temporary employee sourcing.
  • Provide new hire Orientation, plant tour and review of safety policies for all new hires, utilizing new hire checklist.
  • Ensure completion of I-9’s with each new hire and audit I-9 file quarterly.
  • Provide benefit orientation for company benefit program to include: Health/dental insurance, life insurance, LTD, STD and 401K.
  • Ensure employees complete enrollment forms accurately and submit to insurance carrier for eligibility.
  • Maintain employee records such as new hire set-ups, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, payroll, terminations, and other general employee correspondence. Employee files, health insurance, 401k, worker’s compensation, and I-9’s are each maintained separately.
  • Report accidents to the Worker’s Compensation carrier within 24 hours of work related injury/illness and ensure supervisor/investigation reports are also completed and submitted to the insurance carrier within the following 24 hours.
  • Maintain and update OSHA logs each month. Post OSHA log in an area visible to all employees during the month of February.
  • Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meeting and coordinate with General Manager to execute required Safety Training.
  • Assist in representing organization at unemployment hearings and investigations.
  • Report Human Resources key metrics (headcount, turnover, accidents, training, etc.) to CFO.
  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
  • Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records
  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
  • Prepares periodic payroll reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
  • Coaching and counseling of managers and employees as needed
  • Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by staying current on existing and new legislation

Education Requirements

10 plus years Progressive HR Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study
