Job Description: A leading PLASTIC injection molding facility in the commutable area of Springfield and Lebanon, Kentucky area is searching for a Process Engineer. Position is responsible for process development for existing tooling, scientific molding as well as secondary operations.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and troubleshoot tooling, processing and secondary equipment
• Train and manage Process Technicians on 3 shift operation
• Coordinate tooling modifications with project engineering
• Participate in continual improvement and correction action for customers
• Develop processes for injection molding
• Work with DOE/Statistical analysis and ensure projects meet cost targets
• Hands on experience with scientific molding (decoupled), hydraulic, electrical, hot runner, multi-cavity, insert molding and robots
• Ensure all mods are running to the Master Set Up and all changes are documented
• Reduces processing cost through proactive engineering
• Troubleshoot process, tool and machine problems
• Interact with tooling vendors and customers to establish objectives
• Participate in tool shots and quality tools for use


Requirements include but are not limited to:
• 8-10 years related experience in injection molding as a process engineer
• RJG Master Molder 1 Certification preferred
• Knowledge of robotics, automation and processing of injection molding equipment and tooling
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Demonstrate SPC, DOE, Blueprint Reading and Geometric Tolerance
• Must be able to work on cross functional team with strong organization skills
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify problems, develop and implement actions
• Ability to train and lead team of process technicians


Education: Associate's Degree
