Job Description: A leading PLASTIC injection molding facility in Greenville, South Carolina area is searching for a Quality Engineer. Position ensures that components are produced that meet and exceed customer standards.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Review engineer changes and update inspection requirements
• Review blueprints/specs to establish manufacturing feasibility, including inspection planning and documentation
• Work with Quality Manager on systems standardization
• Establish and train in SPC procedures (Statistical Process Control)
• Develop sampling instructions and reporting of reliability data
• Direct workers in measuring and testing of products & materials
• Document customer complaints and returns
• Interface with customers and engineering on quality issues
• Managed production parts approval (PPAP) activity
• Create job instructions and perform testing studies as required
• Plan product and process quality improvements Implement and maintain quality systems
• Hands on experience with TS16949/ISO9001
• Work with PPAP, PFMEA/PSWS Control Plans
• Use data to drive Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement

 

Requirements include but are not limited to:
• 5 years working as Quality Engineer in high volume injection molding manufacturing
• Experience in quality systems, SPC & Statistics
• Strong written, verbal and systems background
• Must be able to multi-task and have strong problem solving skills
• Organizational skills with an eye for details
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA,PSWS,GD&T
• Blueprint reading a must
• Prefer someone that has worked with automotive suppliers
• Experience in Six Sigma, Lean & Continuous Improvement
• Hands on understanding of TS16949/ISO9001

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
