Job Description: A leading PLASTIC facility in the Richmond area is adding a Quality Manager/Engineer to their team. This person will manage a small team of six between two facilities in VA. Additionally this position is responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001/IATF 16949 certification requirements for these sites and participating globally in the internal audit program.

• Ensure quality objectives are met: On-Time Shipment, Conforming Product, and Customer Satisfaction
• Develop, Implement, and Maintain site quality management system (ISO 9001/IATF 16949)
• Perform the function of host and local expert for customer and 3rd party quality system audits.
• Develop an in depth knowledge of the test equipment and procedures
• Provide training of QA lab employees on all lab related activities.
• Provide support for all areas as it relates to the site quality system.
• Internal and external quality system audits as assigned.
• Coordinate the continuous refinement of systems used in the lab
• Perform specification reviews both internal and external as required
• Project work as assigned by the VP QA


Requirements include but are not limited to:
• Prior experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 is required.
• Ability and willingness to work under tight deadlines and support multiple projects at one time
• Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with, coach and develop others
• Overseas travel may be required on a limited basis.


Education: A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific field or sufficient combination of related education and work experience is required.
